I think I joined in 2003. Around the time of the internet cannibal case.

I mean they've maintained a decently consistent level of popularity and have fluke successful single every 5 or so years and tour regularly. So that's a pretty good outcome.

I remember the discussions people obsessed over were, "If Rivers only starts playing guitar solos, they'll be as good as Blue and Pinkerton again." Or, "If Rivers only started writing about his life again, they'll be as good as Blue and Pinkerton again." He subsequently did both and they were never as good as Blue or Pinkerton again. Coming to terms with that took awhile.
