you're all such dynamic, caring, funny, and insightful people.
And some of us are really disorganised and forgetful and never notice things at the best time!
Belated greetings / Happy Birthday-plus-one, Doc

All the gratitude for the countless boons you've given me, including, but not limited to, helping to shape an intellectual curiousity that might have shipwrecked against my early 20s without you and a 100 other more practical examples. Thanks for your continued friendship and deep respect for the standards you hold this community to.

How did I miss my favourite hobo's birthday.

Any way hope you had a great day with wall to wall Swans and Wire and a little whiskey.

Happy belated, Doc. I second everything Flex said. Your ability to engage on such a broad variety of topics is something to aspire to. Also, you actually read my word vomit write ups which is totally not necessary but appreciated.

Happy belated, my friend (as you might have noticed I don't hang out here on weekends much)! I hope you had a great day, well-deserved for one of the souls of IMCT. I'm sure the group appreciates your thoughtful nature, intellectual curiosity, great sense of humor, and generosity.

As for me, well...I have to agree.

You get a personal reply because of your lateness. There's a moral in there, I guess. Something about betting on hares and foxes who eat grapes and scorpions wanting to cross rivers. Anyway.

I always liked that grape one. I had a whole box of illustrated Aesop books that my grandma got me when I was learning to read. It made me insufferably superior to all the other kids who didn't want to do their homework or whatever.
