Happy birthday to the real Mr. Met! I absolutely love your "can you believe this shit?" approach to sports fandom, tho your choice of, and steady adherence to, teams pretty much demands it. Your combination of passion and humour is so valued, and you can always be counted upon to pull out some solid old guy picks for movies and music to spark conversation. Find the best things in life today and eat them up.

You're a delightful person, weller. Scratch the crusty Mets fan and find a good natured, good hearted fellow who adds insight and humor to our conversations here. You have a grounded way of looking at things that cuts out the bullshit. Your passion for baseball, music, all of it makes it so much fun to spend time with you here. Happy birthday!

Were you on that call, or are you all excluding me from these like my own family did?

That was the online gathering we had a year (or two?) back. You were there—you were wading in a lake or something.

I think it was an Eet Week zoom you hosted, I seem to recall the good Rev was on it while walking around a lake on his phone.

I've hosted two—the other was the virtual wake for 101W. But, yeah, my memory was revbob Frankensteining in a lake. And when I discovered weller sounds like every New Yorker in a 1970s movie. That was a glorious discovery!
