Has anyone here tried to record a streaming video? I know it can be done with Quicktime, but that doesn't include the audio.
Is it a live stream or something like a streaming movie site? If the latter, I use an app called KeepVid.

It will be a live stream. I agree Keepvid is great for the latter though.

It would take some post-recording mixing, but could you record the video with QuickTime and simultaneously record the audio with Audio Hijack Pro?

Yeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Those download sites are always so sketchy looking.

I agree. There's a shitload of apps that are wonder-something and they all seem like credit card thieves.

Looks like this one can only use the computer's microphone as an audio input.

Unless it is a different product they have I used it to copy training videos that I had some limited access to so it grabbed the audio from the streaming videos as well.

Weird, I can only get a very bad audio signal in testing it. I'll keep looking at it. Thanks!

Hmm, it worked well for me, or it may have been a different program by NCH. It was a few years back on an old computer so hard for me to verify. Ive used a lot of their software over the years.

God help me, I need a good "boffin" :shifty:

Anyone have any advice on how to grab and download a streaming video? We bought a ticket to a livestream on the Mandolin service: https://watch.mandolin.com/ and it was great! It's available to re-watch for a couple days but then goes away, would love to save it for posterity if anyone has any recommendations on how to do it.

The Lone Bellow. Americana type act,y wife's favorite group. They did a live christmas show and should slot in nicely with my johnny cash and Brian setzer holiday shows in future years...
