It will be a live stream. I agree Keepvid is great for the latter though.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 6:14pmIs it a live stream or something like a streaming movie site? If the latter, I use an app called KeepVid.
It would take some post-recording mixing, but could you record the video with QuickTime and simultaneously record the audio with Audio Hijack Pro?Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 6:55pmIt will be a live stream. Yeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Those download sites are always so sketchy looking.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:07pmIt would take some post-recording mixing, but could you record the video with QuickTime and simultaneously record the audio with Audio Hijack Pro?Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 6:55pmIt will be a live stream. I agree. There's a shitload of apps that are wonder-something and they all seem like credit card thieves.Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:28pmYeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Looks like this one can only use the computer's microphone as an audio input.revbob wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:47pmThis is legitKory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:28pmYeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Unless it is a different product they have I used it to copy training videos that I had some limited access to so it grabbed the audio from the streaming videos as well.Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 8:10pmLooks like this one can only use the computer's microphone as an audio input.revbob wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:47pmThis is legitKory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:28pmYeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Weird, I can only get a very bad audio signal in testing it. I'll keep looking at it. Thanks!revbob wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 8:17pmUnless it is a different product they have I used it to copy training videos that I had some limited access to so it grabbed the audio from the streaming videos as well.Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 8:10pmLooks like this one can only use the computer's microphone as an audio input.revbob wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:47pmThis is legitKory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 7:28pmYeah that's my backup idea, I was just wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with some of the downloadable software that claims to do it all in one. Hmm, it worked well for me, or it may have been a different program by NCH. It was a few years back on an old computer so hard for me to verify. Ive used a lot of their software over the years.Kory wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 8:34pmWeird, I can only get a very bad audio signal in testing it. I'll keep looking at it. Anyone have any advice on how to grab and download a streaming video? We bought a ticket to a livestream on the Mandolin service: https://watch.mandolin.com/ and it was great! It's available to re-watch for a couple days but then goes away, would love to save it for posterity if anyone has any recommendations on how to do it.

The Lone Bellow. Americana type act,y wife's favorite group. They did a live christmas show and should slot in nicely with my johnny cash and Brian setzer holiday shows in future years...
