Apparently 5 Mexican states have banned bullfighting since 2013 and others have moved to do the same, which is a step in the right direction. A large part of the Mexican population now thinks it is a cruel practice, so hopefully they can at least soon eliminate the killing part like has been done in the US.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 8:33pmI should have made clear that my equation was based on the idea that seeing a creature, human or not, lose their life—that's the payoff of the whole, that someone's gonna die. You're right that bullfighting isn't rooted in vengeance, but instead a kind of machismo, of going up against a dangerous and worthy opponent and besting them. But in the end, the crowd gets to see a death occur before their eyes.

No, it’s true. Rats and minks are known to occasionally team up in order to bring down large prey.
I myself was once attacked by an angry pack of rats and minks. Luckily, I had read Man’s Life, so I knew my only way out was to grab one of the minks by the tail and use it like a club to fight off the rest of the pack.

Louis Riel, in Winnipeg. The only father of Canadian Confederation (he brought Manitoba into the county) who was later executed (for leading the Northwest Rebellion in 1885).
