I once never called a girl back because our first date was to see Mission Impossible.

This is the closing song to Spinning Gold and, dammit, it has earwormed its way into my brain, even tho it's the kind of thing that would have been on Glee or some shit like that. But it's fun and uplifting in that theatrical pop kind of way.

I like a lot of things people here expect me to be embarrassed by that I’m not, bit even I’m a bit abashed to admit ever since legal and reasonably potent marijuana edibles have been in my state, I’ve quite enjoyed the ridiculously pompous prog music of Gentle Giant, a band that is about as far from punk as you can get while still having reasonably loud electric guitars.
Again, it’s probably the drugs.

I want to be clear here: I’m not defending this. I have no excuse.

Not sure this is embarrassing, but when I was a kid I heard a lot of the Stylistics, the Carpenters, the Seekers (originals, not the New Seekers) and Johnny Cash thanks to my mum and dad's record collection!
