Meet the gang.
Lookin' good! Sure wish I had a gang.
I'll join a gang with you as long as I get to be called Hunk or Trip or Whizzer.
Funny, those are the only three names we allow in the gang. It's kind of confusing but we have a numbering system too.
Whizzer 5 it is then!

I stumbled across this picture today on a local old photos group on Facebook. That's me on the left playing outside my Grandmother's house in the 70s. I'm quite shocked at how rough it looks, my memories of the place are nothing but good.

Rough looking? Burning the milkman does seem a bit harsh.

The graininess of the photo makes it looks about 50 years older than it actually is.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Scarily that photo was taken closer to WW2 than to today.

I love those little realizations. Like, we're closer to mainstream audiences discovering Nirvana than those audiences were to the mainstream discovering the Beatles.

Cold, dirty, dreary, depressing day in the Upper Midwest today. Perfect day for listening to the 'Mats. This photo was from the summer of 2021.
