Also, it looks like that kid has a shit ton of hair on the back of his neck, probably from the saccharin in the TAB.

I'm not a big soda pop drinker, but if I see RC Cola (it's somewhat rare around here), I'll buy it.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 8:28amGood ole' RC Cola. I'll grab one now and then.
It's the best cola, IMHO, although I don't know, there might be some high-priced premium shit that I don't know about.
I used to like Jolt ... is that still around?

It is the best cola. It seems to be popular down in Chicago, so it's relatively easy to find around Milwaukee. Same with Sun Drop. It's popular in parts of Wisconsin and I believe also out around Eastern Tennessee, but not sure if it's available elsewhere in the US. We used to have a bottler around the middle of the state that still used cane sugar with their Sun Drop. Stuff was excellent. Not sure if they're still in production.Spiff wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 9:45amI'm not a big soda pop drinker, but if I see RC Cola (it's somewhat rare around here), I'll buy it.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 8:28amGood ole' RC Cola. I don't remember Pepsi Light. Must have been before my time, but man, what an ugly can. Also, do they still make 50/50?Kimmelweck wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 9:35amYeah, RC's decent. Haven’t had one in years though.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 8:28amGood ole' RC Cola. I'll grab one now and then.

I remember Pepsi Light. That was another saccharin-sweetened drink I think. It was pretty nasty. And a quick google search suggests that 50/50 is still available. I don't recall seeing it around here for a while though.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 10:04amI don't remember Pepsi Light. Must have been before my time, but man, what an ugly can. When I spent time in Mexico in the 90s, the Coca-Cola was great, made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. Huge difference.

I pick up Mexican Coke all of the time . Most of the stores around here carry it. A little pricey, but a bottle here and there feels like a treat. 50/50 was originally made in Milwaukee. The company that made it did several different types of soda and you could buy it by the can at the grocery store. I feel like every family party I went to as a kid had a cooler full of their products.Kimmelweck wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 10:24amI remember Pepsi Light. To clarify, are you talking about RC Cola or Jolt Cola?WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 10:03amIt is the best cola. I grew up watching Bozo the clown and I gotta call bullshit on "kids all over cheering for Bozo beet vinegar". I can't imagine any kid wanting to add that to their oatmeal for a morning "pick me-up". Too funny!
