Don't know if this story has made its way beyond our borders, but it's kinda mesmerizing for the mystery and randomness. A combination of Columbine and Starkweather. If these guys are now on foot in northern Manitoba, it's a good bet they're going to die of exposure, predators, or even sinking into the muskeg—it's seriously unforgiving terrain, even if you're experienced and well-equipped.

Nope, still on the loose. The police are now considering the possibility that they may have gotten out of the remote northern Manitoba town where they abandoned and burned their car. No vehicles have been reported stolen, but they may have hitchhiked with someone who didn't know about the manhunt. If they haven't made it out, they won't survive long in that environment. It's really mean—muskeg, fifty billion types of insects that bite, other predators. If I were forced to place money on how it ends, it's that they die of exposure out there.

Speculation on the why is that they're just a couple fucked up weirdos who really went down the wrong road. Introverted, gamers, into Nazi crap, that kind of thing.
