Re: Middle age health thread for fatties
I finished my PT for my knee yesterday and got the green light to start doing some light running. Walked for about 2.65 miles with 4 - 1 minute jogs with 2 minute breaks in-between jogs. Iced my knee when I got home, so far so good. 4 minute miles are just around the corner I'm sure!

The bad news is he was hoping you were 14.

No discomfort or fatigue. I'm going to try to do the walk / job every other day with PT stretches on the off days, my goal is to get back to about 5 - 6 miles of jogging every other day.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 6:35amNo real discomfort beyond fatigue?Sparky wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021, 11:11amI finished my PT for my knee yesterday and got the green light to start doing some light running. That's superb. Even tho that surgery is routine and all, I'd still be somewhat anxious until I found I was back to normal-ish again.

True, very common procedure, my other knee healed at about the same rate, maybe a little slower, I'm just very impatient with sitting around, can't wait to get back to 100% active.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 10:50amThat's superb. When I think of punk and exercise—not that I really associate the two—it's more of the Henry Rollins gym monster type.

I'd never really thought of my reasons for running in that way, but I will say I'm far more motivated to run when I'm listening to punk on my iPod vs. listening to more traditional rock music.

First day of fall ball. I dribbled a double to 2nd, and scored and flashed some fancy leather at 1b. My hitting was awful I swear Im cursed at this one field.
