Glad to hear it. I would think at 94 you would be shaking and chattering your teeth like a skinny kid coming out of the pool.

Well, that's a relief (officially I'm supposed to hope for your demise but I'm a phoney ).

Hello,
I'm just reading all this now - but, yeah, I would've check that thermometer first as well. If you weren't feeling oddly, yeah, check the equipment.

Good to hear it was just a bad thermometer. We've got 2 digital thermometers, neither ever reads the same temp.

Yeah that’s pretty much what I was reading and I assume why the doctors I talked to weren’t concerned. Thanks all!

That's a relief. You should sue the thermometer company to recover the tens of thousands of dollars those appointments will probably cost because 'Murrica.

Re: Middle age health thread for fatties
My back hurts again. Ugh. It seemed to come out of nowhere again. I was cleaning up after dinner on Tuesday night and then wham. I can function, but definitely very sore. I'm thankful to be able to work from a standing desk (it feels better when I'm on my feet).
My partner and I had been going through a very fit stage fall/winter, but then she started working two jobs (she's transitioning out of teaching and wanted to continue on part time to work with her kids through the end of the school year) and so she's been exhausted every night and so we've fallen off our routine of exercise and yoga. This has led to a general feeling on being unfit. It's crazy how by your mid-40's you can feel like you're falling apart like that if you take your eyes off the prize.

Re: Middle age health thread for fatties
I’m in the same boat. This past week we converted the failed lawn in the backyard to flower garden, which meant digging up the remaining sod, turning over the soil, placing flat rocks, and all that. That was hell on my lower back. I’ve also got two bad shoulders now, both crunching and unable to do things like scratch my back. Somehow I’m in the best shape of my life yet also clearly breaking down.WestwayKid wrote: ↑02 Jun 2022, 9:20amMy back hurts again. Ugh. It seemed to come out of nowhere again. That sums me up, too. I'm more active now than I've been in years. I spent most of the day on Monday outside in the heat putting up a backyard fence for the dog and I felt great until Tuesday night when I didn't.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑02 Jun 2022, 10:37amI’m in the same boat. It’s the clearest evidence of a divine entity that is pissed off at me for my lack of belief.WestwayKid wrote: ↑02 Jun 2022, 10:42amThat sums me up, too. I'm more active now than I've been in years. Revbob says it gets easier in your 50's, but I haven't found that to be the case yet. Rumor has it everything changes for the better after 60.WestwayKid wrote: ↑02 Jun 2022, 9:20amMy back hurts again. Ugh. It seemed to come out of nowhere again.
