I hurt my lower back on the left doing interval training last night. Usually the right side hurts, so I guess it won't be long before my entire back is in constant pain.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 10:36amIt'll be funny when he drowns.revbob wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 10:28amYou need one of these
That said, I really am starting to feel my age. Monday I rowed for 45 mins, usual time and all. Yesterday I biked for 30 kms, again, usual time. And then I walked downtown and back, about an hour all told. And I am severely wiped out today. Taking the day off from exercise. I'm still good when I'm working out, but the recovery time in between is getting tougher.

We need to embrace either sloth or PEDs.

You probably just have tired blood. A good friend recently told me about Geritol.

Perhaps a little Vitameatavegamin would be beneficial to you two.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 7:25pmMan, if somebody recommended Geritol to me, I'd think they were a dick!revbob wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 7:09pmYou probably just have tired blood. A good friend recently told me about Geritol.

Not embracing PEDs is sad to me. I think the risks to athletes lives are more than compensated for by the outrageous salaries they are rewarded with. They ought to be our petri dish.

I want some god damn 30-foot long jumps. Bring on the PEDs!BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 10:34pmNot embracing PEDs is sad to me. I think the risks to athletes lives are more than compensated for by the outrageous salaries they are rewarded with. They ought to be our petri dish.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The real problem is not the athlete making a huge salary. The real problem is the skinny high school/college kid taking something to be like that athlete.

Did a nice roughly 12 mile ride today and my left knee was not happy the last few miles. Im thinking some kind of compression thing might be good for this.

Or you could suck it up like a man?
(Note: I wouldn't suck it up like a man. I'd continue on the same path because I'm bad at changing behaviours, but add carping to the routine.)

Hello,
A compression sleeve might help. I usually wear compression gear for recovery but many use it during an event.
Re: Middle age health thread for fatties
Yeah it feels fine now and didn't bother me too much when I stopped riding. As a teen I had a pretty bad case of Osgood-Schlatters and still have that bony bump below my knee cap.

I cleaned the house and hurt muh back. Where would I be without a heating pad?
