Re: Ahoy, dars a Matey sighting
I saw him on a warm-up for what I assume was his last tour (he was fine-tuning the material for his last album and HBO special). He did a lot of reading from notes on some of the new pieces. But he was good, sharp, outraged, hilarious. We went with my sister and brother-in-law, who preferred his goofier late 70s, early 80s style (the “y'ever …?” stuff), and they were disappointed. But I thought he was a comedic craftsman, constucting arguments less than telling jokes. That man was so important for making me who I am—the love of language, the moral outrage, the joy in bizarre observation and curiosity. My spiritual godfather, really.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Is this to solve the debate of what is better to dip your fries in?
Also it says 160 calories for 2 tablespoons. Who would have that much at one time?
