I mentioned it before, but it's amazing that the Nationals' season ends in the wildcard game if the Brewers' RF fields the ball cleanly.

edit: I'm going to bed.

I love it when the world series ends on a K like that.

I haven't been this happy about a WS since...well I guess I was happy about the Cubbies winning but other than that its been a long time.

Congratulations Natspos!

Nats didn’t exist when I lived in a DC suburb, so I grew up rooting for the O’s. I had to like the Nats when they came along, so this is pretty nice. I think the last game I went to was a Nats game for that matter.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

On a more somber note, having realized Colon is not currently on a roster, I have aged out of MLB, as I’m about a year older than Rodney.

Does this World Series run start September 10th when Christian Yelich fractures his kneecap? He would have been in right during the wild card game instead of rookie Trent Grisham and would have fielded that ball cleanly.

Honestly, I'm glad it worked out like it did. Brewers might have won that game, but they didn't have the legs to take it this far. Glad to see the team formerly known as the Montreal Expos finally bring one home...25 years after the "what if" '94 season.

Predictions?

I don't know how they get there, but I think Washington earns a narrow win - something like 5 to 2.
If Marisnick hadn't committed that error, I might have been spot on with my prediction!
