enough scores for 12 soccer games in the first inning
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

Fourth time since 1908 that neither starter got out of the 1st inning. Apparently Limey food causes pitchers to empty their bowels on the field.

Try selling a sport to a people who lust for games with no scoring, send a couple teams that score 30 runs. Good job, MLB. Should have sent the Royals and Marlins.

So did most of the crowd leave after the 1st inning thinking they'd just witnessed a thrilling 6-6 draw?

I quit after it was 9-6(?) because I couldn't stand Joe Buck anymore (plus I knew the Sox weren't coming back). Either my tolerance has completely eroded or he's gotten worse, but he fucking ruins games for me now.

ARod is in the booth today. I give it to the guy. His post-pro game is working out very well for him. He's a natural at this. I mean, I heard he loved the game so much that he never shut up about it.

He can come off as a bit too slick and phony at times, but, yeah, he's pretty good at it.

Curiously, the entire Red Sox bullpen found out at the airport that their return tickets were for a flight to Siberia …

I enjoy him as a commentator. So much better than some of the others doing that job.

I remember being pleasantly surprised at both his insight and lack of jaghood when he was doing postgame in the 2016 playoffs.

And unlike most announcers, he was publicly known to be a weirdo freak BEFORE the job, so any revelations now probably won’t derail him.
