Fox did a Jay & Silent Bob promo for the ALCS before the game. That is so fucking Fox in the worst way possible. I can't imagine that appealing to more than seven or eight viewers.
Ate they doing another movie that they are promoting.
Yup, you're right. A "reboot" of the movie that kicked me off his train, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. If I'm being generous, I'll credit him for maintaining a career despite flop after flop.

1. Jay and Silent Bob was so bad it retroactively made me reassess his career up to that point.

2. NATSTOWN!

If you looked up "pretentious buffoon" in the encyclopedia you would see Kevin Smith. He was funny for a short period of time, but quickly became very obnoxious.

His success, I think, was especially dependent on time and place. His abilities meshed with that 1990s Gen X irony-is-hip trend. Once that passed, he lacked the ability to grow or appeal to a wider audience. He's seriously niche. That he thinks he deserves to be more is his delusion.

To be fair, no one here is discussing his masterpiece.

Exhibit A in an argument asserting that we made a big mistake in overthrowing Victorian prudery. In a culture that elevated shame, he'd have been dispatched to an ice floe.

kevin smith is a cautionary tale for what happens when you start getting high on your own supply. I basically stuck with him through J&SBSTB but everything he's done since prove that film was a warning sign, not an aberration.

I want to dispatch him to an ice flow right now...too bad we're killing off all of our ice flows via climate change.

Who would have thought that the trick was getting rid of Bryce Harper?

No baseball team has ever come back from 3-0 in a seven-game series. Well, not in the NL.

Two comments:
1) Honestly, is there anyone other than a corporate dickhead who likes Joe Buck? What kind of person who enjoys sports prefers his smarmy voice?
2) I know Severino is good and he's been hurt this year, but, fuck a duck, he just wilts in October. He's the Yankee David Price (2018 excepted).

He's been equally sucking on Cole's dick.
