Schilling, Bauer, Buchholz, Syndergaard—that's a helluva xenophobic pitching rotation.

Can he videoconference it (via a string of 19 vpn's) from inside his bunker?

Can't a man live in a concrete bunker without people calling him insane?

That sounds like a rejected line by Dylan for "Blowin' in the Wind."

I call this one: "Lefty is Blowin' in the Wind"

"How many guns can one man stockpile
Before his family is safe
How much food can one man stash
Before he has enough to survive
Yes, how many VPNs does one man need
Before he's completely off the grid
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind"

From the Hall of Fame: Tom Seaver's family announced today that he has been diagnosed with dementia. Tom will continue to work in his beloved vineyard at his California home, but has chosen to completely retire from public life.

This is really sad. Tom Seaver was one of my first baseball heroes. Just an absolutely incredible pitcher - perhaps one of the greatest starting pitchers to ever take the mound. A great Tom Seaver story is from his first all star game back in 1967. He walked up to Hank Aaron before the game and asked for his autograph - thinking there was no way Aaron would know who he was and that it would be a good way to make an introduction. Aaron looked at him and said something like, "Kid, I know who you are and I guarantee that before your career is over everyone in this stadium will, too."

Take care, Tom Terrific!
