I know everyone has been talking about his Star Trek role, but he played snooty so perfectly on Benson.

The singer from Roxette. Post-Punk.com called them "...a pop band every Goth could get behind." I don't know about that, but they had a handful of songs I didn't hate back in the day.

I had no strong feelings at the time, but knowing very little about them, I was surprised to learn she was in her 60s. I assumed she was younger when they were charting here.

Same. Like finding out Toni Basil was 40 years old when “Mickey” came out.

They seem to have came and went pretty quick from the American stage. I remember when they released Look Sharp! in the late 80's they seemed to be on every radio station.

Joyride and Dressed For Success were pretty good pop tunes in a very fallow period for pop.

Listen To Your Heart had a classic overblown late-80's sound to it.

I have no idea that actually existed and assumed it was a parody until I read the comments. Wow.

I didn't know he was so old but I guess Do the Right Thing was 30 years ago. Loved him in that, Jacob's Ladder, and the Professional.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Do the Right Thing is one of the best movies ever.

It's in my top 10 all time for sure.
