After a shaky episode or two early in the (short) final season, I actually thought the show closed out pretty well.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 6:46amAre fans basically children throwing tantrums?

I pray I never get so attached to a movie or tv show that I stomp my feet and pout just because I don't like how it evolves or concludes.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Real estate developers in King's Landing.
Faux Addendum: the "winner" was, I thought, an appropriately bonkers and non-fan-service choice (Bran Stark) that fit the overall themes of the show pretty well. Basically, the roots of democracy take a baby step at the end of the show. Not exactly revolutionary, but I think the idea that the force of history undermining the rule of monarchs is a solid final subversion of the reactionary goodness of the monarchy that the fantasy genre often subscribes to.
