TAMPA — On the verge of reporting to spring training, Brett Gardner asked a judge to keep an obsessed fan away from him and his family, and the Yankees want her banned from all ballparks.
Gardner’s lawyer went to Bronx civil court Thursday for an order of protection against Gina Devasahayam, who says she’s the 36-year-old Yankees outfielder’s “future wife” and that he sends her sexual “signals” from the field.

Carlos Correa has come out to publically defend Gardner, saying that he couldn't send sexual signals since there was a runner at 2nd.

I realize the Astros sign stealing scandal probably won't be the downfall of Manfred because he's the owners handpicked stooge, but man I hope it will. If only because it would get rid of the guy who's seemingly leading the charge to bring in 'pace of play' rules that are making the game stupider.
Now obviously anyone else put into that role would also be terrible towards labor but bring back having to pitch outside for an intentional walk, damnit.

Manfred's ace in the hole is that it's not likely baseball fans will blame him for any of this.Boddington wrote: ↑18 Feb 2020, 8:01pmI realize the Astros sign stealing scandal probably won't be the downfall of Manfred because he's the owners handpicked stooge, but man I hope it will. Make us more money.
OK, we'll dump half the minor leagues and everyone make the playoffs!

This is awesome. Glad that he's in Milwaukee. Just hope he can throw, too.

Daniel Bard just signed with the Rockies on a minor league contract trying to make a comeback! I'm sad that the Sox ruined him but I'd love to see him make a comeback. Probably won't make it but maybe he can get a cup of coffee at least.
Re: MLB 2020
Man, I really want to take a spring training trip one year.
Did he do anything after Boston? Kind of feels like he vanished sometime in the early '10s.Boddington wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 2:13pmDaniel Bard just signed with the Rockies on a minor league contract trying to make a comeback! Nope, he tried to make it with a few teams—the Pirates and Cubs were two, I think—but no dice. When he wasn't broken, tho, he was seriously electric. His slider had insane movement.Inder wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 2:56pmMan, I really want to take a spring training trip one year.
