MLB 2020

Sox to rehire Cora. Lots of cheating still to be taught.

The learning never ends, grasshopper.
More seriously, I'm pleased. I like Cora and I don't believe he's any more or less honest than any other manager in the game.

With the the Sox, maybe. His time with Houston, however, is banging another kettle of fish in the hallway.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 12:10pmThe learning never ends, grasshopper.

It is indisputably funny that they tried to bury this amid election panic.

There was speculation on SoSH that if Cora was re-hired, they'd announce it this past Monday.Inder wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020, 1:09pmWith the the Sox, maybe. It's worth noting that there's decent enough reason to believe the Astros org threw Cora under the bus and that he was just one of a number of cogs in the machine rather than the ringleader because he was out of the org. Still cheating in 2018 but just a savvier version of typical sign stealing there at least. I think it's fine to bring him back, considering the Sox window has likely closed and he'll likely be a caretaker and mentor for younger players. I would just like to have a presentable product on the field next year.

Tony's still got that magic: https://sports.yahoo.com/report-white-s ... 19460.html
Given all the stuff that gets people canned—sign-stealing plots, faking military service—shouldn't multiple DUIs be disqualifying?

Theo was great for the Cubs, I wish it would have worked for him to stay with the Sox instead of having to leave but he worked his magic with another club and got them a well-earned title. Can't imagine any sensible fan from either fanbase ever having cause to feel sour about the man. Legend.

He's pretty much guaranteed to get in the HoF at some point. Ending not one but two long WS droughts makes it a no-brainer.

That word is doing a lot of heavy lifting, sadly.

Goose still has a sense of honour. You can be a bigot, but dress it up in semi-deniable language. These young guys with their open awful.
