Lots of stories on Reddit/etc about how plug fourth-line nobody NHL players showed up at a pickup or shinny game and looked like Gretzky and Howe combined out there.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 1:40pmIt's crazy how much better than even washouts are than us chumps.

I would watch the shit out of that.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 12:41pmJust switch to video game baseball. Each team picks one dork to play their team's games online. Better yet, make each team's principal owner be the one to play. I'd dumpster-fire watch that for sure.

The best part of the Astros was lost when they abandoned the creamsicle uniforms. I'm a full-on fan of all those hideous 1970s uniforms, including the Padres' piss and shit ones and the Pirates' bumblebee uni's. Garish beats boring 8 days a week.Wolter wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 2:18pmI’m just glad my irrational hatred I’ve carried for the Astros for like 20 or more years is now rational.revbob wrote: ↑26 Jul 2020, 5:50pmDisagree on the first, wholeheartedly agree on the second. Agreed 100%. Without those uniforms, they’re just a team from Texas, with all that that entails.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 2:29pmThe best part of the Astros was lost when they abandoned the creamsicle uniforms. Yeah, take away JR Richards and what do you have? Honestly, put the Brewers back in the AL where they belong and I’ll take those Astros back. I’m sick of the bullshit, one-sided rivalry they think they have with the Cubs.revbob wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 2:49pmYeah, take away JR Richards and what do you have? Re: MLB 2020
I think the Brewers switched to facilitate interleague when it started—they needed two sets of even numbers in both leagues—and Bud volunteered his team. The Astros moved, I believe, to build a rivalry with the Rangers, plus MLB moved to interleague happening all the time, so odd numbers were fine and it balanced both leagues.revbob wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 3:02pmYeah, Why did that swap happen anyway?Wolter wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 2:56pmHonestly, put the Brewers back in the AL where they belong and I’ll take those Astros back. I know the meaning is supposed to be "no intentions" but I can't help but think that, no, they have no plans either.MLB has no plans to cancel or pause 2020 season
