Damn hope you get the taste back
There's a dude on my softball team who still cant smell stuff since March.
Cheers mate, me too. Fucking love my food too much for my taste to never return.
Hello,

It took my son a bit to get his sense of taste back. Be patient - we'll all hope for the best.
How was your son throughout and how long was his recovery mate?
Hello,

My son was lucky - plus he's young and fit. He referees so in Summer '20 he had to work in a warehouse. Returning from lunch, he walked by some people smoking outside the warehouse. He couldn't smell the smoke, so he turned around and called in to let people know. He tested positive. About a week later, he tested negative. While he was infected, he was running 120's (120 yard sprints) for 90 minutes or so every morning to get his referee-ing legs back. He was fortunate.

His sense of taste took a bit longer to return - probably 10 days or so.
Amazing how he was able to keep his training up, good for him! Glad all was well with your son, and I'll take comfort that it just took 10 days or so to get his sense of taste back!

I was just reading an article about the Replacements upcoming 40th anniversary release of "Sorry Ma, ...." bassist Tommy Stinson (fully vaxed) mentioned he's currently dealing with his 2nd case of COVID. Nasty stuff.

Wow, just plain wow. :wtf:
Mississippi governor Tate Reeves said his constituents aren't worried about COVID 19 because "When you believe in eternal life — when you believe that living on this earth is but a blip on the screen, then you don't have to be so scared of things".

Glad you seem to be on the mend, Tom, and hoping you get your taste back soon.

Ha ha. On a positive note, I hope the Test Match helped your rehab?

Sped up recovery by 5 days! Been a while since a performance like that eh?!

Absolutely. I hope they don't make the mistake of the same bowling attack at the Oval, otherwise we will get hammered again. I think India will play Ashwin and we will find batting a bit tougher.

I sadly think complacency will take over and what you proposed will come to be. More than happy to be wrong though. Was great to see the top 4 bastmen get decent figures, playing simply good test cricket, not trying stupid shots all the while to pace the game at t20 speed. As for the bowling, I've watched the 1st innings highlights twice already! Vintage England!

Is it possible Tom has had COVID for, like, years? (Love ya, man!)

Hello,

If only we could develop a vaccine for this.
