I get being conservative about this. It only helps limiting exposure. However, if this is the baseline for working from home or whatever, then it's going to be a LOOOOONG time before we get to this level of infection. It's a good thing, but people seem to be thinking we'll be back to normal in a few weeks.

I wish more bosses were like yours. That's what I'm dreading, if I'm off, I can only claim the statutory sick pay which is nowhere near enough to cover mortgage, bills etc and I'm the only one earning in the household.

It would look really shitty if she didn't, considering what we advocate for (medicare for all, living wages, etc). But she certainly didn't have to, and I am thankful!

Okay, to be clear, I'm not criticizing any government response to contain (well, minimize) the spread of the disease, but I still can't help but think that this is R & D work on government power to clamp down on civil rights. Which tactics work best? How far can they push?
