1983 to 1985 was a time of dramatic change:

He's ready to retire, but is going to team up with Mel Gibson after this record is complete.
So is that a reference to CC being some sort of horrible person or an all black people look alike joke?
He bears some resemblance to Danny Glover.
Was just fucking around.

Hey Matey is any of the CC solo stuff not cheesey? I mean a talented musician but are the albums any good?

Fuck if I know. I've only heard the Jackson Browne/Darryl Hannah song.

As much as I love Bruce, Bruce-adjacent and Bruce-inspired stuff rarely does anything for me. SVZ solo stuff, Gary US Bonds early 80s albums, Southside Johnny - all that stuff is pretty hokey. "Sun City" is cool, but more of the lineup than the song itself.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Agreed, and I mean I find Bruce hokey too for the most part so no surprise that the various bits and pieces have a similar feel.

This is my local state representative. This is all you need to know about why Wisconsin currently has the highest COVID numbers in the country. What a sad, pathetic old fool.

A Coronavirus Vaccine Could Kill Half A Million Sharks, Conservationists Warn

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronaviru ... nists-warn
Shark Allies, a nonprofit that advocates for the protection of sharks, projects that some 500,000 sharks could be killed if a coronavirus vaccine with shark squalene proves to be effective. Already, an estimated 2.7 million sharks are killed annually for their squalene to make cosmetics, according to the group.

We've gone from "this cute fuzzy llama may hold the key to unlocking a covid vaccine!" to "we're gonna murder all the sharks" in like five months.

My mom's ex boyfriend has it and is on a ventilator. He doesn't think he's going to live. His brother also has it. They both went to a music event.

Very sorry to hear and hope he's wrong about his prognosis.
