wife had contact with a CVD+ so we had to get tested. Results came negative. Work still wants me out another week and take another test, I'm fine with that, needed a vacation.

To me, the mask thing has really become a barometer for people I deal with. If you are so far up your own ass that the simple act of covering your breath is an insurmountable inconvenience then I don't have time for you.
I've been quite self-aware about how much I judge (and fear being negatively judged) people on their pandemic "performance." It's something I don't like because I've made great efforts to be less judgmental (it's a learned family trait) but seeing people being oblivious about how they might affect others just gets my teeth grinding.
Same. I was at Target the other day and a man was walking around smugly without a mask (which is against the county ordinance) and i shot him a dirty look. Unfortunately, that's all I did because there is a good possibility he also had a gun. And then yesterday, after I got out of my car at the grocery store, I realized I didn't have my mask on and was horrified that someone spotted me.
Yeah these not mask wearers need to be coddled apparently because they could snap at any moment.

Very pleased to hear you're both well.

I started this thread back on Match 5th and boldly declared that I was not afraid of the virus and asked out loud if I was being naive. Guess I was, but who could have imagined this when it all started?

I've definitely changed my tune. I was defiant about cancelling our vacation to New Orleans, which we ultimately did. We also cancelled trips to Las Vegas and Los Angeles and decided to not travel at all this summer (outside of a quick jaunt to Ann Arbor to visit a friend).

What a year.

I'm not convinced it's ever going to end.

It will probably just roll on into 2021...

I remember when this started, I asked people about the long-term cultural changes that this would have, at several suggested that once it's "over," things would go back to February 2020. Anyone still think that?
