One of the few virtues of social media is that it has confirmed that almost all celebrities are morons who nevertheless feel their wide-ranging ignorance must be shared with the world. On the other hand, it hasn't put a dent in the power of celebrity.
Trump has shown that people will forgive/accept/celebrate anything if the right person says it.
Unfortunately. Again, for all the horseshit about cancel culture, who truly suffers for being a dolt?

Not good news actually. My son's been sick for a week. Seemed like just a cold we tested him on Wednesday and he was positive. Oddly enough my wife and I have been fine.

Really sorry to hear that. The effects for him are just a cold, tho?

Lots and lots of students on campus have been going down with covid, which in all likelihood is because young people are very social. Don't really know any adults who have tested positive for some time. Is it due to better behaviour by adults or has the virus mutated to be more successful with young people? (I'm thinking about how in the initial wave it seemed like young people had a natural resistance.)

Given rising rates here and the newer strains more resistant to vaccines, there are rumours that we could be heading to another lockdown of some sort. Sigh.

Sorry to hear that Rev, hope he gets well soon and you and the Mrs. remain fine.

Yeah he's mainly had bad cold like symptoms, along with body aches but no fever.

Being in the school environment it was pretty inevitable how he dodged it last year is a mystery. The house isnt that big but there's a separate bathroom he can use and has his room and the basement so that's allowed for some social distancing in the house and he wears a mask whenever he's in a common area.

And their Walmart shopping cart is probably filled to the gills with 2 liter bottles of diet coke.

The phrase, "Well, that's what I read," is one of the most common components of their conversations.
