Those who might know the person personally, yeah, I imagine some pause for reconsideration would take place. But all this is guided by abstraction already, of gut-thinking revulsion to all those smartypants, so without that direct connection, no, it can always be explained away. This guy didn't die of COVID. He got pneumonia—the COVID was incidental, but the big government statisticians will inflate the counts.Sparky wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 9:05amYou'd think by now the anti-vax crowd would be taking notice of all the people who've taken such a stand and paid the ultimate price for it. You'd hope they'd begin to question all the misinformation and false narratives that the Republican's they stand with have spread.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 8:41amhttps://www.thedailybeast.com/h-scott-a ... d-of-virus
Heaven just got a really moronic new angel!
But I guess not, the "it will never happen to me" denial runs strong with these folks. It's clearly more important for them to continue to spread the Big Lie and all the smaller ones that go along with this political belief system they have, regardless of the outcome.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread Of Good News
My school became the first in Canada to announce mandatory vaccination for anybody on campus this fall (staff, students). Those in residence already had to be, but this sensibly expands the net. So at least I don't have to give a speech on the first day of class to tell students not to be an anti-vax jerk.

I'm not good at scolding—I'm more of a disappointed-frown kind of person—so I'm pleased to have this duty relieved of me.revbob wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021, 1:36pmYou still can...Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021, 1:33pmMy school became the first in Canada to announce mandatory vaccination for anybody on campus this fall (staff, students). I dunno, you just admitted you didn't wish to confront your "students" about vaxxing.
