Mark looks sickly. And Geoff still comes off as creepy. "Let's go camping with some kids". Heck you might find a stray you can bring home. Surely Rusty could use a playmate and you and Cherry would have someone to keep up with "the chores".
It's funny how just changing the line to "...camping with THE kids" would have considerably lowered the creep factor.
Yeah Im starting to consider some of the hypotheses in that article you posted yesterday
What would be funny about it being from Rusty's imagination, he's such a pud that he can't even be the hero of his story. He's still mostly going along with what better people—orphan Kevins!—do.
He's a broken kid, Mark barely lets him call him dad.
He's a posterchild against the idea of adoption.

Or dognapping.

I'm not super enthused about a story where Mark goes looking for his dog, but we might get a scene where Rusty starts bawling, forcing Mark to muster some type of emotion for another human being akin to empathy.

The good news is the art looks normal (Mark Trail normal anyway). However no way in hell a dog is gonna jump in the back of that truck because of thunder and rain. Hide under it is more likely. This could lead to a return to normal.

A couple of things

Mark's on his smart phone, presumably he's gotten the social media bug from Dr Camel.

You're probably right, but I'd like to think it's his 1958 pocket transistor radio (AM only, of course), and he was listening to the crop futures and weather report.

What, you don't think they can put Miata engines in delivery trucks? Delivery guys like racing for pink slips, too, cocksucker!

One of three things is happening here: (1) Andy just scored a touchdown (or maybe a safety?); (2) He's placing the truck driver under arrest for dognapping; or (3) Driven mad by confinement, hunger, and thirst, he's about to rip out the throat of the driver.
