All there is to say about this story arc:

I have to admit: I'm fully sold on that clip now.

Yeah, right, Cherry. They "captured" the wild dogs and then tested them for rabies. Also, Mark completely shifts to egotist mode. What happened this week? Apparently not almost losing Andy. Or gaining a sinister cat.
Oh Andy, you little rascal!

75% of New England's elderly men have seen that cartoon and angrily pulled out their typewriters to send a stern letter to the editor of the local paper.

Oh hell yes. I used to work with one, an old Mainer who loved Mark Trail in the context it was originally intended.

Most of them pissed about Cherry's new haircut, I suppose.

Plus Mark walking around with his shirt untucked. He's practically ready to vacuum the house like Alan Alda.

We do get 4 panels now instead of the traditional 3.

Three panels respects the Holy Trinity. Four panels is, like, some kind of Communist cabal.

Yeah, I'm not sure about it all. I'm still hopeful that once we get a storyline underway that something will emerge. But the early returns aren't promising.

In panel 2, Mark doesn't seem very confident in his own advice. And not cool to fling that "harmless" kingsnake to the ground like a wet towel. In the 5th panel, a bruised and battered snake limps back into the undergrowth, as Mark breathlessly explains to Cherry that you should never, ever, sneak up on a snake handler. He looks furious in panel 3. Mark gets jumpy around snakes.

Mark is more excited about finally receiving one of these pieces of electronic mail that he's heard so much about. Now, to use quill and ink well to transcribe it to parchment!
