I like the Pogues ok. I guess I'm a little turned off but the whole celebration of Irish alcoholism thing. It feels a little minstrel show to me these days.

I like the Pretenders OK but I'm not going to bat for them.

Dark meat chicken is superior with the one exception of fried chicken I think I might prefer white because the deep fat fry + dark meat is a little too greasy. Not a strong opinion for me tho.

I think I still slightly prefer dark meat in friend chicken, but only slightly, for the reason you state.

The difference is even starker in turkey. My god, regular white meat turkey cooked as perfectly as possible is still just kind of ok.

I only drive for groceries or pleasure, I think that makes a marked difference.

I'd go even further and say that chicken thighs are the best meat on the bird, fried or otherwise.
