No its more a matter of how cold/hot it might be or when I take my shower. I often take one before bed.

I go first sock, underwear, first pantleg, first shoe, second sock, second pantleg, second shoe. Then sombrero. Then shirt.

Seriously, socks then underwear. Socks first so feet go right into a sterile environment and avoid touching the floor.

Other parts of the world have found the most comfortable outfit. For some reason we can't give ourselves that gift here.

Hello,

I generally wear shorts with liners when I teach (combination pants and underwear?) - first - then track suit pants - second - then a shirt as I like to walk around barefoot a bit - third - then shoes - fourth - and off to school. I occasionally wear khaki pants but that's an exception.

Pants.
Hang on, do you mean trousers or underpants? We call trousers pants up here.
Till I moved up (sort of) North, I never knew some Brits referred to pants as trousers. Must be a Southern thing.
Yeah me too. Pants = underwear. But to be fair underpants should go under pants unless you're superman or some shit.

Ha! Never heard that quote before. To be clear, I mostly wear ankle high white socks. If they were, like, calf high black socks, then it would be underwear first. After all, I’m not some kind of maniac.

I generally wear super soft alpaca socks. I'm a bit of a fancy dog in that respect.
