Doubt many Americans would be familiar with him but British comedian Sean Lock, just 58. A genuinely funny guy, shocked to read it.
Loved his stand up. Even though he made his name and money on panel shows, he was at his best on those hour longs.

Saw more of him on panel shows tbh, but absolutely loved his delivery. That lovely dry, understated laconic wit, it's right up my street. The type of guy who could make me laugh just reading the phone book.

I am one of the familiar Americans—I was coming here to make the announcement myself. This is a big downer for me today, I loved him.

Shocked to hear about Sean Lock, fantastic at what he did, dry humor with perfect delivery.

To my shame I only found out today while reading one of the obituaries that he'd made a sitcom, 15 Storeys High. Just watched E1 on you tube and while it feels like a bit of a slow burner, there are some cracking lines in it.

Definitely takes a while to get into, but certainly an underrated series.

I've got that on DVD box set. Great series. The story about the Swan still cracks me up.

A sad loss. RIP Sean.

The story at the end of E1 about being buried under the wombles had me in stitches.

15 Storeys High deserved the success of the Office (and vice versa?)

When I saw the headline, I did a double-take. Such a big name in martial arts films.

The drag of being an american fan is that you certainly don't hear about things like this unless you have time to look through the filmography of everyone you like. I'll definitely be checking this out, thanks!

No worries, like i said i only discovered it myself yesterday. I only really knew him from that 10 out of cats thing, a show i wouldn't have spent 2 minutes watching only for Sean Lock!
