Is there a giddiness in Vermont right now as Fall approaches?

You can feel the change in the air but the one maple tree that always serves as a harbinger of fall is still very green as are all the trees in the area. No first frost yet. No complaints either.
You've got to be excited though, right? That moment is coming. I'm looking at those flannels in the back of the rack and thinking, "It's almost your time!".
Yes and no. I LOVE summer and the hot weather and am never ready to let it go. I think it goes back to being a kid and going to school. Summer meant no school and a certain amount of freedom and fall meant school and a loss of that freedom. I dont go kicking and screaming into fall anymore but I do drag my feet a little.

I'm not a fan of sweating (outside of exercise), so by August I'm very ready for fall.

Supposed to hit about 90 here today, I'm ready for some cooler weather myself.

Topping out in the low 70s here today. Leaves are still very green.

It's 95 and one of the worst rated air qualities in the world here in Denver. I moved out of the great Rocky Mountains and onto the 10th circle of hell.

My sister is probably going to move back to Burlington in the next few months. I'd move there in a cocaine heartbeat except the woman doesn't want to be on the east coast.

She still in Napa?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

That I can believe.

Feel free to give her my number if she ever wants to hang out with some cool people. They live down the street and sometimes wave to me.

Denver's air quality was always shit growing up. It rarely got that hot though.

Yeah, it actually got a better for a little while there as general environmentally sound development made headway, but the physical landscape traps pollutants over the city. With the ubiquity of western fires all that smoke and air pollution is just getting trapped. I usually can't even see the mountains anymore through the smoke.
