“As I traveled, I came to believe that people’s desires and aspirations were as much a part of the land as the wind, solitary animals, and the bright fields of stone and tundra. And, too, that the land existed quite apart from these.”

Uncle revbob, does the name Starlight Conspiracy mean anything to you? Burlington band, mid-Hoy Decade. Saw them described as shoegaze, but the little bits I head sound like generic 90s college rock.

I recognize the name. I was too busy raising a kid to listen to hipster music those days.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025, 11:41amUncle revbob, does the name Starlight Conspiracy mean anything to you? I listened to the whole album today. Absolutely nothing special about them. If you were into that post-Nirvana college rock, you might like it, but it wasn't really my thing.revbob wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025, 6:44pmI recognize the name. There was a time when Burlington was being touted as Seattle east. At least locally. To be fair there were some local bands that had a following. Eugene Hutz (Gogol Bordello singer/songwriter) is the only one to really have any success and that was after he left Vermont and moved to NYC.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025, 6:48pmI listened to the whole album today.
