The lower Hudson River Valley as seen from Bear Mountain. You can see the Bear Mountain Bridge. At completion in 1924 it was longest suspension bridge in the world.

My Dad worked at a resort there when he was a kid. It's really nice.

The "humming" actually comes from the flapping of the wings - saw it in a doc recently! Never seen one in the flesh, magnificent birds.

Yeah its been flying around all day I finally got lucky with a pic.
We've got a feeder in our yard, along with lots of plants they seem to like, but I've never been able to get a decent picture, they've just too fast for me to get focused on.
