I'm in Tucson at the moment, and aside from finding a really good comic shop, its only other redeeming factor is that there's a bunch of lizards everywhere.

Lizards are cool.

There was at least one good music store there about 20 years ago...

Zia Records is alright, but they sure are not very discerning of physical quality when buying used discs. Lotta scratches.

There's a ZIA there? I remember and indie store. The Phoenix area definitely had some Zia.

I've been to the Zia records there a long time ago. I thought it was okay - a lot of stuff I didn't want (and apparently no one else) but some good stuff.

Woke up at 5 am to scratching on our new lower-rooftop deck, just off our bedroom. And the cats crowded around windows and the door. Racoons. Momma and two younger ones. Even better, the two younger ones went under a tarped sofa out there. Momma was either trying to get them to leave or just couldn't fit under there herself. No idea if any of them are still there and I ain't going out and pulling back the tarp. So I'm waiting for one of Olaf's cousins to come by and assess what has to be done.
