So, like, the Yankees are going to win 130 games this season? I am really fucking glad that I'm no longer as emotionally wrapped up in these things, because that would make for a miserable summer.

Interesting that the tweet mentions the pitchers from 1984 but not 2022.
cuz those pitchers were good, Angels are getting shut out by pitchers who wear jersey numbers higher than 70.
Okay, you can take Pete Falcone's dick out of your pocket any time now.
Hey, he had a sub-4 ERA in 4 of his 10 seasons.

It's a blessing of expanded playoffs too. I watch almost every Sox game and I barely even have to pay attention to what the Yankees are up to at the top of the division with three wildcard spots to pay attention to.

I suppose the one appeal of a Yankee regular season juggernaut is the heroin-like possibility of them yakking in the playoffs.

The Yankees road win percentage (.666) is better than every other team's home win percentage except the Mets. Nutso crazy.

Captain Tightpants!

That kind of excessive body development must work on the same scale as eating disorders—just a completely fucked sense of what they look like and need to look like.

Why? He hasn't been in MLB for 8 years?

Like Doc said it seems like a form of body dysmorphic disorder.

I was ordering a drink at a bar that had the Yankees game on — 6-3 Houston beginning the bottom of the ninth, and I turned to my pal and said, as a statement, not a question: “They’re going to win, aren’t they.”

My hope at this point is that the Yankees have a playoff collapse like the Patriots losing the Super Bowl after their undefeated season. Something so devastating that Chico can't support any locally owned business for years.
