Ray Liotta :(
Wow, I just saw that, he was only 67 years old. I really enjoyed his role in "Goodfellas", might have to watch it again in his memory.

As someone who came of age in the mid 90s, Ray Liota was the guy that starred in really really mediocre movies: No Escape, Unforgettable, Turbulence. I tried to rent Goodfellas, but rented The Untouchables accidentally which wasn't very good. I finally saw Goodfellas a few years ago and totally missed the point which I think was documented in real time on this board.

Oh, he was in that movie with Jennifer Love Hewitt where she wore all those hot outfits in like 2001. He's been in A LOT of stuff per his filmography and not much of it is very good. I feel like I'm shitting on his legacy, but I'm trying to find anything of note and he seems to be a one film wonder. Two I guess if you count Field of Dreams.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

His performance on Just Shoot Me! was a comedy masterclass. He's also really good in Muppets Most Wanted. I've heard that Narc is pretty good, I think I'm going to watch it this weekend.

But yeah, Goodfellas should be watched once a year.

Seems like some of them are long overdue for a visit from karma.

too much death.
On a happier note, they say Steven Tyler voluntarily entered rehab.

On a sadder note, presumably he'll be let out at some time.
