Christine McVie.

I like Fleetwood Mac. Great road trip music.

I think I got into them because my dad kind of liked them. Would have been early 80's around when Mirage came out. They had a great sound: music, vocals, everything. I still listen to them when I need a little pick me up.

This track has been known to bring tears to my eyes. It's simply beautiful. It's just Christine, with Lindsey Buckingham providing a few textures with his acoustic guitar.

Don't know why but could never really get into them, definitely like the earlier Peter Green stuff more, but still thought they were a very talented crew who could write very decent, occasionally great, tunes. Very sad news.

Just heard Chicken Shack version of I'd Rather Go Blind on the radio with Christine McVie (or Perfect as she was then known) on vocals. Really wonderful version of one of the great classic songs.

Was always my favourite version. Fantastic vocal.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Dude looked like this the year I was born:

Very impressive he made it another 40 years.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

A very throwback look. Ballplayers in the 1910s all looked about 50 years old.

I think he was like 45 when he retired - which had to be around 1983. I'm 45 and man, I'm thankful I don't look that old!!
