And now for a completely different poll
Re: And now for a completely different poll
I went with Gilliam on the strength of his trilogy.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Had to go with Idle.

Chapman’s probably my actual favorite but I rarely revisit Python these days.

I like Terry a lot but he loses some points by being the worst actor among them. I voted Palin, his reactions are gold.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Oct 2022, 7:58amMust say I'm surprised that I'm the only one standing with Terry Jones. If nothing else, he's my basis for every elderly English woman.

I also went with Palin for much the same reason.Kory wrote: ↑11 Oct 2022, 1:47pmI like Terry a lot but he loses some points by being the worst actor among them. His acting was more versatile and understated, which I regard as an asset. And he gets major credit for being a very vocal opponent of the Iraq invasion. And, like, Mr. Creosote.Kory wrote: ↑11 Oct 2022, 1:47pmI like Terry a lot but he loses some points by being the worst actor among them. acting-wise, other than Gilliam, they all have great strengths that interact well together. Picking one is extremely difficult for me. They all have the writing skills too, which with the acting skills, made them so amazing together. I love them all.
From what I see there's still a little hope

If that's accurate, it's hard not to conclude that the decision was made as a fuck-you to Idle. I mean, who has watched the movie and thought, "Fucking great, but what the hell was up with that crucifixion ending?"

In fact, Brian is the only one with a satisfying ending.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 May 2023, 1:26pmIf that's accurate, it's hard not to conclude that the decision was made as a fuck-you to Idle. I like the collapse of Holy Grail, but Brian's ending is a lovely little weird affirmation of Christianity's core—despite the misery of the body, keep your spirits up. It's a confirmation that the movie was poking fun at religion, not rejecting it.Silent Majority wrote: ↑29 May 2023, 2:13pmIn fact, Brian is the only one with a satisfying ending.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 May 2023, 1:26pmIf that's accurate, it's hard not to conclude that the decision was made as a fuck-you to Idle.
