Ah, signature epic choke jobe. Up there with the '78 Sox and '07 Pats. Brutal. Oh well. That's sports. I'm glad I'm at a place in my life that this won't ruin my week or something.
I predict the Leafs will curbstomp Florida.

I'm not so sure, if we've learned one thing from their series beating the Bruins is that Florida can score goals. So can the Leafs, no question, but are the Leafs defensively strong enough to stop Florida? This should be a fun series.
From what I see there's still a little hope

While I am sad for my Bruins-fan friends like Flexy and Beaner, and it would be unseemly to celebrate (especially as a Leafs fan), there are not enough lols in the world for what just happened — Boston really Leafed it.

How often has it happened that the #1 seed got bounced in the first round? This can't be the first time, but I would guess it's not more than 5%.

Happened to Tampa in the 18-19 season most recently, I believe (and things went rather well for them in subsequent seasons, although I think Boston is more likely entering a long wilderness period of mediocrity). Winning playoff series are hard.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 1:51pmHow often has it happened that the #1 seed got bounced in the first round? Re: NHL 2022-2042: So what’s the deal with Hockey?
Well, the team i've been rooting for my entire life has its first-round game 7 tonight, versus a local hated rival who had a better regular season than my team did. I do not have great positive vibes for my team tonight, game starts in 2 and a half hours and i'm just not feeling it. I've been through so many seasons of it now and I tend to go with my gut feelings when it comes to hockey and the playoffs. Also having played for many years and being part of teams that were good enough to win but didn't always achieve that success, you would just get a feeling, a sort of sense to it all. I can't describe it any better than that. There is nothing quite like playoff hockey, regardless of the league and level.
I'm hoping my Rangers can prevail but my gut is telling me to prepare myself emotionally for a loss. Having been through so many years of it, like Flex I won't be devastated enough to have it ruin my week, but I will be disappointed tonight anyway.
Mark Messier has said many times that the hardest game to win in any playoff series is the one that eliminates your opponent. He's 110% right about that.
Let's Go Rangers.

Is Inder the last hockey fan standing now? Did he win the IMCT Cup?
