I just saw this pop up in my feed. Stewart is looing pretty fit for 65.

Didn't he have a heart attack a few years back? He had a legendary scowl on the mound, maybe more scary than Bob Gibson's.
By virtue of this story Dave Stewart should be in the Hall.

Neat story for demonstrating the irrational element to it all. His arm hasn't changed, only his facial presentation, and it makes all the difference.

I'm such a fucking sucker. For all the gnashing of teeth and rending of garments this off-season, god help me I'm excited for Base Ball to start again.

Pedroia is a rare Red Sock whom *all* Boston fans absolutely love. He even escaped the bloodthirsty local media. Playing the game "the right way" is usually a dumb cliche, but the runt played it the right way, always.

Yeah, this is true. The knee injury killed his HoF chances but it meant that the media didn't shiv him during a slow decline. On some level, there must be Boston writers who resent him for denying them that chance. Or maybe just being a short white guy would have immunized him.

Well, not exactly. He spent the last few years of his contract basically unable to take the field, but I think everyone was sympathetic since it was pretty much a direct result of being Machado'd and having his career more or less ended on a supremely dirty play.

Not as horrifying or ultimately tragic, but in the same realm as Tony C.

YouTube tv has lost their MLB contract so I'm going to be missing a lot of baseball this year. And I prefer to watch it.

Pirate streams are a thing. I can point you in the direction of a few fairly reliable ones.

I'll check in with that when I see how much I'm missing. Still have espn, tbs, and fox.

Doc's virus and porn laced pirate streams are pretty good. You just have to know not to click on the various pop-ups etc.

Man, I miss YES network (even Kay's noggin), but it is so expensive.
