I met Fred Lynn at an autograph signing in Denver during the ASG a couple years ago. He signed an autograph book they were giving out for the event and then he signed my kinda-dirty/sweaty baseball hat I was wearing. He was a little skeptical but he did it. Kinda funny. He was a nice guy for the 45 seconds I got to chat with him. Luis Tiant was there too, very relaxed dude.

Fred Lynn was cool in my book. At least as a player.
Whenever he shows up at Fenway, he always seems to be wearing a tacky Hawaiian shirt. Gotta respect that weirdo sense of fashion.
I can actually look back on a lot of those guys with respect and a certain fondness. At least that outfield anyway.

Same. I've got nothing against any of those old Yankees from the 70s. The 70s was the last time baseball players had some real fucked-up energy to them. Watch any random game from the 70s and compare it to today. Today's players are better, but they're flat-out dull in comparison.

Lmao, I salute this troll job: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/re ... r-AA16gUBB
 I love Jackie—if he did return he'd be my favourite on the team (make of that what you will)—but that would be such a clear tank alert. Which, at this point, whatever.

Just saw this. Was El Tiante smoking a cigar? I hope so.

Caught the last half hour of a piece on Bob Uecker on MLB Network. Just a wonderful reminder of what a treasure he is. Such a genuine person. I'd much rather talk about baseball with him than pretty much anyone else who's played the game.

Ty Cobb's the only one beside a black player. I can't imagine it's intentional, but still, good.

I’ll take the Short Stop (Pacific Red Snapper), and cheesecake for desert.
What are you guys having?

I agree, but let’s face it…this crew is never gonna make it there in time for breakfast.

Longish piece on the 2013 Red Sox team—a reminder of why it's unlikely I'll like a team more than that one.
