Actor Tom Sizemore, 61. I remember him mostly from Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan.

He was having some problems awhile back. He used to regularly make my Celeb Death pool thing. Last time was 2013 apparently: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8587&p=316801&hilit ... re#p316801
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I’ve read about his substance abuse issues, but damn, 61 is young. He was great in BHD and SPR. Brain aneurism is what brought him down. Poor guy. Listening to Minstrel Boy right now.

Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I believe there are now no longer any original members alive. In fact, from their original run of 5 pre-plane crash LP's, only drummer Artemis Pyle remains. They must have some dubious record for band mortality by this point. I've never hated the original version of the band. I think they were interesting: long haired hippies from the South and far more interesting and nuanced than the Southern caricature version of the band that exists today.

Skynyrd is great, even if their confederate flag waving hasn't aged well. Crazy to think at 71, he was the last living original member. But yeah, I guess there might be more if not for the plane crash.

It's always cheap (no pun intended) to dump on those guys for making movies on a shoestring budget. Yeah, whatever, the aesthetics don't match up with people who had 50X the money.
