Hello,

Grant Wahl's cause of death:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/grant-wahls- ... 29778.html
Very tragic. I was a subscriber to Sports Illustrated for a few years and remember when he started writing there, he was passionate and very knowledgeable about the sport. 48 is just far too young.

Wow, what final. Good for Messi.

Hello,

I texted Wow so many times during the final - I ended up cutting and pasting Wow.

I'm happy for Messi to have that off his back - but Mbappe (with 4 goals today) is/will be better.

Yeah, couldn’t ask for a better final really. I didn’t have a real favorite at this point, just wanted some good drama.

edit: On second thought, meh, fuck Messi.

Yep fantastic final great drama and a terrific tournament.

Can't gloss over the human rights issues but it's been a great spectacle.

Hello,

Was there some special reason why Man City had this out before the FA Cup match with Chelsea (aside from Joy Division being from Manchester)?

I think they have had it for a while, I assume it is just the Manchester link. I think one of their kits this season has some Hacienda- related logos.

Hello,

I guess. I thought beating Chelsea was a pretty known pleasure.

Maybe it is because you Reds say there is no Atmosphere at the Emptihad? ;)

Shades of Diego there, I'd say. Enjoyed reading the below account of her career. Seems she was so multi talented, Billie Jean King tried to coax her down the tennis path and she subsequently achieved a very high standard in US seniors tennis after her football career ended. Gem of a story really.
