Sweet action for kids 'n' cretins. Marjoram and capers.

Hello,

Qatar-Ecuador is what most expected (although Valencia's header was very good).

Tomorrow is when things get real: England-Iran, Senegal-Netherlands, and US-Wales.

If Mane was healthy, Senegal-Netherlands would be a great game to watch. The US-Wales will be good. The US is very young so the start could determine the tournament for the US.

I'm really excited about this very young U.S. team. I'm hoping they make it out of group play and don't expect much beyond that, but I think this is the beginning of a team that's going to be on the up for a good number of years. Hoping to see the roots getting planted here.

Don't worry the IRA will never win. Hit and run tactics don't win football matches. 😉

Also very strong rumours the IRA full back and centre forward are fully paid up informants and keeping the ENG management up to date on developments and likely team tactics. Should be a cakewalk for Eng, really.

l also hear the BBC is going with ENG v IRN to avoid the inevitable piss taking like this which is the sensible thing to do. Having a decent world cup so far, I think.

Yeah very sensible. I fancy a 3-0 win in England's favour today.

Hello,

England crushing Iran is bad news for the US. Both England and Iran are resting players.

Perfect.

Also, VH, Jr. and I were cracking up at the amount of injury fakery going on yesterday. I know that this isn't breaking news, but I don't usually follow football (round).

I am rooting for Uruguay!
