There are some penalties when you can just tell the person won’t score.
I think they're called English penalties.
Who pfaffed the pfaff? Who got pfaffed tonight?

I think you might have hit the nail on the head there.

I got up at 5:15am so I wouldn't miss the 5:30am start between Man City and my guys. Please don't make me regret this, West Ham.*

I started regretting it immediately after I posted that, and it only got worse from there!

Ah well, hopefully got the worst game of the season out of the way on day one.

City will win this year with at least 3 games left to play, that's my prediction anyway. I find as the seasons go on, I get less interested when the league begins again. Everything is about money and profit which leads to a predictable result.

As long as it isn’t Liverpool
Actually I don’t think it will be their squad isn’t good enough. Great starting 11 but they were lucky and got away with it last season with few injuries. They won’t get that lucky again as evidenced by the fact that Allison ruled out for 4 weeks and they now only have 1 fit goalie.

Pogba needs to make up his bloody mind if he's going to stay or go.

I couldn't find the Football (Round) thread, so I am posting this here. Going to my first real football (round) match tonight! US vs. Uruguay. I am supporting Uruguay since I hate this country and also one of my best friends (who will be with us) is from Uruguay. I ordered little flags and everything! Anyway, what should I expect? Drunken hooligans? Racists? Hot guys taking their shirts off on the pitch?

Going to see soccerball in the US is typically a pretty friendly and comfortable affair. I don't know if you'd even get any ribbing (good natured or otherwise) for supporting Uruguay. There will be some diehard supporters, but hooliganism is typically really rare. I've seen the USMNT and it's a lot of fun! I don't know where the game is or what the setup is like, but I enjoy going to games here in Colorado and tailgating ahead of time. Might want to look into that.
