Hard to fault that really.

That'll make no difference to Rashford. Sterling's home was broken into so he's gone back to look after his family I believe.gkbill wrote: ↑04 Dec 2022, 6:11pmHello,
A good last 60 minutes for England. Senegal was good the first 30 minutes. I hope Rashford is okay with coming on rather than starting. I hope Sterling's situation isn't bad.
Japan-Croatia tomorrow should be very good. Brazil-South Krorea could be fun but has the potential to be a one-way affair.

Unbelievably naive from S. Korea with a back 3 against that forward line.

Re: Association Football Thread
Been enjoying this year’s WC a lot. Yesterday’s matches were fantastic. I’ve been a huge fan of the WC for about 28 years (I’m 50), though for the first 22 years of my life I hadn’t even heard of it.
The first match I ever watched was June 22, 1994, 2-1 USA over Colombia. I watched it on a tiny little TV in a living room in Zacatecas, Mexico, at the home of a woman who cooked for us, with her son Juan. That was the infamous Andres Escobar own-goal game. 10 days later, he was shot 6 times and killed in his home-town of Medellin, Colombia. Was just watching some documentaries about it on youtube. Crazy shit.
I remember another 1994 match in particular, at the end of the group round, where Mexico tied Italy 1-1 to advance to the knockouts. The city of Zacatecas had about a quarter of a million people, and everybody was celebrating in the streets. Traffic was stopped for hours. I remember one guy got pulled out of his car (unwillingly) by some enthusiastic Mexican fans who proceeded to smear his face with red, white and green paint. There were people hanging out of windows like muppets, air horns, mariachi bands. Utter madness, just a glorious riot. I’m not sure the city of Buffalo could match that celebration if the Bills finally won a Super Bowl (I want a Mexican riot of my own!).
Anyway, 1994 was my introduction to the WC and I’ve been hooked ever since. Finally got my Dad and brother hooked on it too now. We’re in a hockey and American football town, so it took some work. Looking forward to today’s matches. England are my last remaining team now that USA and Mexico are out.

Disappointed obviously. Thought England were the better team over the full game. More attempts on goal and more on target. Really dodgy referee decisions. Brave attempt kept Mbappe quiet for most of the match. Would love to see Morocco go all the way now.
Been an enjoyable tournament all round and looking forward to the rest.

Agree with all of this. Hoping for a Morocco-Croatia final now, but I’ll enjoy all 3 remaining games.Marky Dread wrote: ↑10 Dec 2022, 5:43pmDisappointed obviously.
