I thought it was a good game, we started really well and looked really dangerous, but the Italians seemed to get better and better as the game went on. I wouldn't have fancied standing there trying to get a penalty past Donnarumma, there didn't seem to be much room; he's a big lad!
Great to see that we are a team and not just a bunch of individuals, hopefully we will continue to compete well in all tournaments from now on.

Well done Italy, no complaints. We did well to take it to pens. Proud of England, gave it their best shot.

After 30 years finally get to see a home game again. Wimbledon are back at Plough Lane.

I hadn't realised that. Congratulations, and a bit of a thriller.ArmagideonTim wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 3:47pmIMG_20210814_140927.jpg

The kit looked like traditional Wimbledon colours too; have they gone back to that as part of the homecoming or always maintained it? I've kind of lost track of your club. About the only thing I know is that you had Tom Elliott playing for you after he played for my team (Stockport County).ArmagideonTim wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 4:28pmIt certainly was, I can barely speak now. Great stuff. Proper club, proper fans. I remember about 20 years ago when Sam Hammam was supposedly trying to move them to Dublin and rename them the Dublin Dons! Glad that never happened. Last time I watched them play i think they were at Selhurst Park and big John Hartson was up front.laxman wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 4:38pmThe kit looked like traditional Wimbledon colours too; have they gone back to that as part of the homecoming or always maintained it? Yeah, we went back to the royal blue with the whole afc thing. Tom Elliott did really well for us and got a move to Millwall out of it but I think he stalled a bit there. I see you had a 3 all today too. Looks like your preseason has set you up nicely for the start of the season.laxman wrote: ↑14 Aug 2021, 4:38pmThe kit looked like traditional Wimbledon colours too; have they gone back to that as part of the homecoming or always maintained it? That wasn't a very good result for us today, we were only playing against a reserves/youth team, but the other results have been good. We have a new owner who is really putting a lot of money into the club. We aren't the only ones; Wrexham have Ryan Reynolds and his mate plus some of the other clubs too, so it could be an exciting season, Covid permitting.
